ADB
target places for myself upon graduation: either go to ADB or the World Bank. Ambitious eh? when my research partner and i went to ADB to research their library, the whole experience made me hope more of working there...waaaah....ang ganda ng pagkagawa ng place... pinipigilan ko na nga lang mag-gasp every time i turn...so corporate and chic at the same time...and the cafeteria! sobrang complete meal in cheap prices! 1 cup of rice for 3 pesos?!? decent brewed coffee for 7 pesos?!? iba talaga!
here are a few panakaw shots from my fone:
anyway, u can't go to ADB for the first time and leave unscathed. carlo (kabarkada/industry analysis partner) and i had our booboos:
- entrance pa lang, when the security guard looked at our IDs he instantly made the connection: that carlo was related to gen. abat (actually carlo is gen. fortunato abat's grandson). sobrang katawa, di alam ni carlo ung sasabihin niya. buti na lang di ako related sa political figure, baka ma-dyaryo pa kami, joke!
- sa public informations center, carlo openly browsed a newspaper, without knowing that his grandfather is in the front page. haha! biglaang baba na daw niya ung newspaper, baka daw may makapansin eh. the guy heading the center also asked us why we were not rallying at makati (how i want to blurt out carlo's "connections" at that time)
- we came and saw, but not conquered. sobrang kaunti lang ung nakita namin regarding our research paper
- lastly, we're touring the grounds and want to venture out to the big fountain sa driveway. since nasa loob na gilid kami, we just went out of the side door (which leads already outside)...then suddenly the alarm bells rang! grabe, mukha tuloy kaming tresspassers, buti na lang kami lang and the running barong-clothed guards ung nasa vicinity. hay, kakahiya. sobrang ayaw na naming magtagal sa adb at that time. kasalanan naman nila, wala man lang sign na bawal lumabas doon at normal-looking door lang siya
anyway, we left at 2:30, kinda depleted since ung ADB paper na nakita namin sa net ay wala pa lang hardcopy. went to mega to look for a cheap printing place (wc we didn't), then carlo went home while i de-stress and watch fantastic 4...
Fantastic 4
I lost count on how many times i watch the movies alone...dati tinatandaan ko pa coz somehow, people think it's bothering to watch
a movie alone (na hindi r-rated, joke!). pero it never bothered me, lalo na pag feel ko lang biglang manood, diretsong nood na ako. even saw tim outside the movie house kanina, kaso pinoy blonde papanoorin niya (musta nga pala ung movie?), plano ko rin manood next week, nakaka-curious sha. anyway, dapat may kasama akong manood ng fantastic four dahil ang super hot ni chris evans! haha, cge stop na ako. it's more of an introduction to the super powers than the main get rid of the bad guy that the other superhero movies have done before. so most of it di masyado action-packed (actually sa dulo lang naman siya), more of dealing with the issues involved in having super powers. pero in fairness, gusto ko ang flow...im expecting na ung part 2 (implied naman sa movie na meron) ay mas exciting.
unrelated: since kapuso ang nanay ko, at feeling ko ako na rin, madalas ko napapanood ang encantadia...swear, nafefeel ko ang sexual tension kay alfred vargas at diana zubiri, haha
