reminscing the classic

I was watching this koreanovela, "The Wedding" last week and there's this certain poem by Goethe that was talked about. I thought it sounded familiar, then I just realized that the first verse is actually the love letter that was sent in my favorite Korean movie, "The Classic". I'm not sure about it by it sounded like it (plus the fact that I'm relying my judgment on subtitles so it's not actually that accurate. Nonetheless, I was giddy with the discovery.

Nearness of the Beloved One
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I think of you,
when I see the sun's shimmer
Gleaming from the sea.
I think of you,
when the moon's glimmer
Is reflected in the springs.

I see you,
when on the distant road
The dust rises,
In deep night,
when on the narrow bridge
The traveler trembles.

I hear you,
when with a dull roar
The wave surges.
In the quiet grove I often go to listen
When all is silent.

I am with you,
however far away you may be,
You are next to me!
The sun is setting,
soon the stars will shine upon me.
If only you were here!

I haven't done much btw, my plans are slowly disintegrating for this sembreak. And I basically blame it on my Booksale obsession...just spent the days reading...anyway, I'm leaving for Davao tom :D
