Now I’m wondering why I haven’t seen any character eat a Melona in a Korean drama…maybe I would’ve known about it earlier if they did. Either way, I’m glad that I’ve eaten a Melona…this is the start of a VERY long friendship.

I heart Melona
In one of my Korean-themed hangouts – Korean meaning going to Etude House, eating in a Korean restaurant, and talk about Korean entertainment news – one of my friends introduced me to the BEST KOREAN DISCOVERY to date since Won Bin’s eyes and Kim Bum’s smile: the MELONA. It is a melon-flavored ice-creamstick that’s so creamy, I can hear angels exulting in my head at first bite. I can’t believe that I only knew about it this year, given that I’m an ice cream hoarder. Nonetheless, consider me a Melona addict:
Whenever I’m in the area, I have to buy a piece before going home
Other Melona flavors (and a coffee-flavored one by the same manufacturer)…the melon is still the best
Melona has a funny sentimental value to me too as it was tied with a certain “experience” with my friends that day. What happens in the Korean grocery, stays in the Korean grocery, hehe
My first Melona purchase was a bit expensive – Php36 – located in the Korean grocery just behind UA&P. If that grocery was there during my college days, I would’ve eaten Melona everyday, hehehe. My friends found a grocery near Galleria that sells it for Php25. My cousin and I also found it at ShinMart (Makati) also for Php25, which is now my favorite Korean grocery because of the variety of Korean goods. And you can get five Melonas for Php100 in ShinMart! My eyes literally bugged out when the cashier told me that.

Wah! Have yet to try the coffee and orange. Not going near the banana. :P I've only tried melon and strawberry, but yeah, the melon is really good. And this is coming from someone who doesn't like melon flavored stuff.
Kung may coffee, orange, banana and strawberry, di ba dapat hindi na Melona ang pangalan? =P
@CdL the orange wrapping is mango i think...hmmm can't remember since kay Echo lahat except yung coffee. the coffee was good din hehehe. i also don't like fruity ice cream, kaya large compliment na yan sa Melona hahha
