I just suddenly realized that I have been a long-time fan of koreanovelas but I barely had enough entries to make a tribute on them! Haha. So I dedicate this series of entries (planning to make 6 entries, this being the first one) to my fellow friends who are as involved w/ korean dramas as I am...(in other words dapat magreply yung mga nanonood diyan!)
I decided to make a Top Five list of my favorite koreanovelas (well, favorites as of this month). Before doing that, here's a list of the korean series that I've watched in the past. Note that I've always believed that it's not on the quantity but on the quality of the series that we watch that we can really be fully appreciative of this art (hahaha, now i consider korean dramas as a separate science). The decision to watch a particular series takes time (and sometimes money), so research is definitely encouraged. The series are (not in the order that I've watched it, i hope i didn't miss a series).

Will be watching soon: Lovers, What's up fox?, Hello miss!
Those who have asterisks are actually series that I didn't get to watch religiously...for many reasons. Some are due to their plots (like Save the Last Dance and Green Rose, where it only gets interesting after the twist, hehe), some due to the ending itself (i was halfway through autumn in my heart when i just found out what will happen in the end, ergo, also the reason why i didn't start Memories of Bali). From the list, a koreanovela expert would know the type of dramas i like---preferrably those well-written plots (especially the ending), good-looking guy protagonist (sorry shallow i know but it matters), and a good OST (can i just say that koreans really can make award-winning OSTs for every series they produce).
So the next entries would be an enumeration and descriptio of my Top Five Koreanovelas (in no particular order, as of June 2007), and if you expect an objective critique of the series that i will enumerate then you're in for a disappointment, hehehe, since i am expecting that the next entries will be full of girly raves, as if I've never been enrolled in a 3-unit course in Film. It will take on the following format (getting organized na to! may framework pa!):
Title of the Series:
Synopsis: (most probably from other sources)
How I Came to Watch the Series:
What I Like About It:
What I don't like about it: (since no series is perfect)
Favorite Moment:
Simple eh? Feel free to share YOUR favorite koreanovela (and why), or other korean dramas that you think i should've watched (in other words, recommend some to me!). Watch out for the first series that I'll feature :D
