my boyfriend is Lee Seung Gi --- i wish!

I've been a negligent kdrama addict for the past years by not updating my Top 5 Korean Dramas list. It's just that everytime I decide to update the list, I see another potential list-maker in the works and so held it off.

As I mentioned, the roster of dramas for this year is GREAT. And despite the awesomeness that is Kim Bum and Lee Min Ho in their respective series, I have to give my award for this year (so far, I'm still thinking that Jang Geun Seok will make me eat my words with Mary Stayed Out All Night) to Lee Seung Gi in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho features Cha Dae Woong (Lee Seung Gi) who is a college student and at the same time enters a drama school to fulfill his dreams of being an action star. He accidentally releases a gumiho (a nine-tailed fox, played by Shin Min Ah) who ends up following him.

This series totally blew me with the cuteness. The chemistry is great (props to Shin Min Ah, totally awesome performance) and I love the writing (Hong Sisters, you did it again!). Lee Seung Gi's character was so loveable (classic case when beta-male leads work!) especially when the plot points demand him to basically grow up. Also I think Lee Seung Gi has one of the greatest trying-hard-not-to-cry faces out there, hehe.

Definitely this series will be in my top 5, must start updating my list (geez, Coffee Prince wasn't even included then!).
